Defence

DRDO successfully tested Laser-Guided Anti Tank Guided Missile. Missile defeated the target located at a longer range. The test was conducted from MBT Arjun at KK Ranges (ACC&S) Ahmednagar in continuation of a successful trial done on 22nd September 2020.

Tamil Nadu and Arunachal Pradesh launched the Centre’s One Nation One Ration Card scheme across the state.

  • Launched: 1 June 2020
  • Objective: The scheme will enable ration cardholders to get their supply of food grains at any fair price shop across the country.
  • Now, 26 States/UTs integrated into the ‘one nation, one ration card’ scheme.
  • These 26 States/UTs are namely Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation starts Mobile COVID test centers in order to stop the spread of the Corona Virus in the City. A fleet of 12 buses in the Civic bus transport facility converted into swab collection centers.
